On April 6, 2010, in front of Gorton High School, over 200 CSEA members, PTA members, Teacher's Union Members, Parents, and Students attended a rally to stop the cuts facing the Yonkers School District.  
The Rally started at 4 pm in front of the Gorton High School ( Front Steps ).

The proposed cuts are:

The Closing of a School !

No More Pre Kindergarten !

No More Interscholastic Sports !

Skyrocketing Metro Card Costs !


Bus Eligibility Increased to 2 Miles !

Increased Class sizes!

 

ELIMINATION OF 421 positions !  ( 196 being CSEA ) !
