Louis P. Roccuzzo
Louis P. Roccuzzo, 63, of Mt. Vernon passed away on Saturday November 6, 2010 at Memorial Sloan Kettering after a sudden battle with cancer. He was born in the Bronx on February 24, 1947 to Sebastian and Mary (nee Giangreco) Roccuzzo. Beloved husband to his wife of 43 years, Susan; loving father of Ronald and his wife Laurie, Phillip and his wife Melissa and Michael Roccuzzo; cherished grandfather of Samantha and Alyssa; dear brother of Paul and also survived by his mother-in-law Ann D'Auria.
LoHud newspaper obituary notice Louis served our country proudly during the Vietnam War in the Air Force. Louis recently retired from the Rye City School District, where he served as the Head Custodian for Milton School.
Well known for his work with the CSEA, Louis' stubborn, but fair attitude enabled him to focus his energies on helping others by becoming the voice for so many members in Westchester County for the past 20 years plus. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends while traveling as much as possible. He was always the first and last person on the dance floor at any event and his laugh would be heard the loudest after one of his jokes.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Tuesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
